Oh, oh Gerty!

Somehow I completely missed this in 1987... which is really surprising, because back then I was totally into novelty records like this.

Gerty had a number of records, I've only found this one.. but then again, I haven't really done a whole lot of searching, since this record is my introduction.

She does one original "No Style", and "Walk on the Wild Side" on the flip, which was actually an a-side a few years before.

Enjoy.

Sail the waterway to Dallas

Told you it was infrequent.

Since the internet has erased the very idea of scarity... I'm sharing something that I've come across elsewhere before online, but not in this high quality.

This is my own vinyl transfer of two of the rare tracks from this 4-cut promotional sampler by Steely Dan, released in 1976 to promote their current release The Royal Scam.

These two songs were recorded in 1972 for their first album, and have never been released since (even in the complete box set...c'mon guys, it's not complete then!)

Both are in mono, that's the way the record was pressed.

This Time (we'll get it right)

Hello and welcome to the first post of this new blog... I'll tell you right now that the posts will be extremely infrequent, but you are free to follow and visit as you wish.

First up... I'm not a fan of sports, but I'm a sucker for colored vinyl:

This record was sold in McDonalds in BC during the early 80s and I always wanted one, just because it looked cool but never got it. Fast-forward 20 years and I found a used copy in a Sally-Ann and I'm sharing it here for you.. apparently it's a bit of a collector's item with hardcore Whitecappers.
